Heritage is an initiative which was launched during Design Week 2009, and aims to represent contemporary Irish Furniture Design and Designers. We were approached to develop a logo and business cards for the launch.

Heritage Logo & Business Cards
Given the nature of the Heritage's work, we wanted to reference a classic typeface for the logotype. We chose Helvetica. We began to break the type apart, to deconstruct the typeface, and by breaking it down and reassembling it, created a unique mark. Leftover pieces made for interesting shapes, and we were drawn to the countershape of the lower case ‘a’ which had similar qualities to a hurl.
We produced cards with a simple black and white finish on quality stock and black foiling. The logo is intended to be dynamic – the form being used to house imagery and graphic patterns creating opportunities for expression beyond the basic application.
